Brunswick Aura Bowling Ball

List Price:$289.95
Price:$154.95 - $169.95

Brunswick is excited to launch the new Aura Line including pro-performance bowling balls. The first ball in the lineup is the AURA created with the new Optimum-Flip Solid Coverstock. This new coverstock technology stores axis rotation, rotational energy, and ball speed so it releases in the backend for an explosive angle into the pocket. The Aura has the potential to create the most angular velocity we have seen thus far. The specially new Aura Ultra Low RG Core partners with the Optimum-Flip Solid Coverstock allowing for this extreme angular velocity. Basically what all this means is this ball will transfer YOUR energy straight into the pins, which results in a higher score. You will get great length, awesome back-end, with a ball that grips the lanes beautifully. This ball is best on medium-heavy oil lane conditions. Core Type: Aura Ultra Low RG (14-16lbs) Coverstock: Optimum-Flip Solid Coverstock; Color: Black and Purple Solid Factory Finish: 500 Siaair Micro Pad, Rough Buff Finish RG max: 2.521 RG min: 2.469 RG diff: .052 Hook Potential: 185 (Scale 10-200) Length: 205 (Scale 10-220) Typical Break-point Shape: Angular (Scale Smooth Arc 10-Angular 120) Recommended Lane Condition: medium to heavy oil.

Brunswick NeXXus Bowling Ball- Red/Black

List Price:$289.95
Price:$152.95

The Addaptive F (P+R) Solid coverstock is Brunswick's newest innovation in performance enhancing additive chemistry. Our latest formula that combines our new projection and our new recovery additives together to create our most aggressive coverstock to date. The Projection additive easily pushes the super aggressive coverstock down lane where the Recovery additive connects with the lane for an extraordinary backend hook motion. Being able to combine multiple additives in a coverstock allows Brunswick to effectively fine tune the length, mid-lane and backend characteristics of the ball. The new Nexus Rotor core integrates a center stabilizing capsule and two vertical flip claws. The center stabilizing capsule revs quickly to control the mid-lane. As the axis migrates and the core lays down, the vertical flip claws take over maintaining the rev rate for a strong continuation through the backend and powerful drive through the pins. The Nexxus F Red/Black Bowling Ball is so strong it extends the limits of our Ball Comparison chart. With its 1500-grit Siaair micro pad finish, the Nexxus offers our highest hook potential and most continuation of any Brunswick ball to date. With an extraordinary ball motion the Nexxus skids through the front, saves axis rotation in the mid-lane and grabs the backend for unbelievable continuation on medium to heavy oil lane conditions. The Nexxus can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for asymmetric bowling balls. Click here for the ball Information Sheet The unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. At 12 and 13 pounds, Brunswick uses a generic core shape with a RG-differential that is close enough.

Bowling: Whats the difference between a professional ball and a performance ball?

There really isn't any difference, the only difference is the terminology that differnent websites use to describe certain balls. A "performance" ball or a "professional" ball will almost certainly be on the higher end of any company's line of equipment. You may not want to shell out $150-$200 for one of these balls if it is your first ball and you have only been bowling for a few weeks. I would recomend starting with something in the middle. Many sites would call these "mid-priced" or maybe "entry level". These balls will have a reactive coverstock, not plastic, and will be a good place to start without costing you too much. I would suggest something from Brunswick's "Groove" line as a starter. - suspendedagain300

Brunswick C System Alpha-Max Bowling Ball From Brunswick

List Price:$279.95
Price:$148.95

CFT ALPHA-MAX COVERSTOCK - CFT alpha-max is our newest breakthrough in Chemical Friction Technology. The CFT alpha-max coverstock uses a higher concentration of the CFT additive in order to maximize the chemical system. The CFT alpha-max coverstock is the highest friction factor of any Brunswick ball to date. The secret is in the technology which creates more traction with chemical friction instead of mechanical friction. Being able to use less mechanical friction for hook, allows the ball to skid easier through the front part of the lane saving axis rotation for more energy on the backend. ASYMMETRIC I-BLOCK CORE - The proven Asymmetric I - Block core enhances the CFT alpha-max coverstock to create maximum forgiveness, strong entry angles along with versatile drilling layouts BALL MOTION - This ball is off the chart! The C·(System) alpha-max is so strong we had to add a column to the Ball Comparison chart and increase our Hook Potential scale to describe the ball motion. With its 4000-grit Siaair micro pad finish, the C·(System) alpha-max offers the highest hook potential of any Brunswick ball to date. The C·(System) alpha-max skids effortlessly through the front, saving axis rotation in the mid-lane to grab the backend for strong response to friction and cuts easily through the pins. REACTION SETUP - The C·(System) alpha-max can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for asymmetric bowling balls. LIGHTWEIGHT ENGINEERING - The unique core shape of each Brunswick ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. The same drilling instructions can be used for 12- and 13-pound balls. This is because Brunswick uses a generic core shape with an RG di

Brunswick C System 4.5 Bowling Ball

CFT v4.5 is the next progression in Chemical Friction Technology. The CFT v4.5 coverstock has a lower friction factor than CFT 3.5 which improves length through the heads and mid-lane withoutsacrificing the quick response and improved traction on the back-end.The new I - Block Symmetric core was created by modifying the original asymmetric I - Block core (which has a symmetric base and an asymmetric flip block) to have an asymmetric base. By creating an asymmetric base with an asymmetric flip block on perpendicular axes the two asymmetries cancel each other out making the core shape symmetric. The core shape was also thinned and stretched to increase the RG min while maintaining the overall differential. With its Rough Buff finish, the C•(System) v4.5 will offer a lower friction factor with similar response time to friction alternative to the C•(System) 3.5. The new C•(System) v4.5 is best used on medium to oily lane conditions when you need to use a breakpoint further down the lane with a quick response motion to increase pin carry. The C•(System) v4.5 can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for symmetric bowling balls. The unique core shape of each Brunswick ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range.
